Echomaster Marine Office From Ice Factory

The Echomaster Weather Station is located on top of the 100 foot high Buckie Ice Factory sited at the end of No. 2 pier, providing unrestricted access to the Moray Firth weather elements. The information is gathered by a Davis Vantage Pro2 wireless system and is received in the Echomaster Marine Ltd. office located within the Fishmarket complex, at the opposite end of the pier. The solar power Vantage Pro transmitter is capable of transmitting data over 300 metres using the latest technology, along a line of sight path. We have tested our system at various locations around the harbour and it performs as claimed by Davies.

Our Vantage Pro2 system gathers information on Wind Speed & Direction, Temperature and Barometric Pressure, Humidity, Rainfall etc. and will forecast the weather trend for the near future. We have found this forecast to be surprisingly accurate. Using the optional Davis software package, we have collected the data from the Vantage Pro2 Console unit and incorporated it into our own web software package, to provide a comprehensive picture of the weather in Buckie. Take a close look at the weather graphs and you might be surprised to learn that although Buckie is located almost 58 degrees north of the equator; we are not in the wet and frozen north.
